Danish Crown Princely Family Spotted In Perth, Australia Where They Are Spending Time With Mary's Family

Crown Princess Mary arrived back in Australia on Sunday for the first time since 2013, ahead of a planned family Christmas in Tasmania.

The Australian-born royal was spotted with her brother John Donaldson, his wife Leanne and Mary's nieces as they stopped for coffee after a visit to a chocolate factory in Perth.

The Princess looked relaxed in a pair of dark sunglasses as she was snapped by a member of the public with her smiling family members - her young daughter Josephine, four, also appearing in the photo.

The Princess' relationship with her brother was thrown into the spotlight earlier this year after speculation over a family rift arose after tabloid magazine New Idea reported on an alleged Facebook post by a John Donaldson claiming to be Mary's brother.

The post alluded to conflict between Mary and her siblings.

But Princess Mary's unexpected stop in the city is likely to end speculation surrounding the Princess' relationship with her brother, who is the godfather to Prince Vincent, four.

A spokesperson for the royal family quickly shot down the claims at the time, suggesting the Facebook profile at the centre of the claims was a fake.

'We believe that this is a case of obvious abuse,' Royal House press officer Lene Balleby told Danish publication BT.dk. 'It is all too easy to make false profile pages, and in this case it is [Mary's] brother's identity that has been misused.'

The royal couple have been in the spotlight more than ever in Mary's native Australia, thanks to the recently aired TV movie focusing on their courtship.

Joined by her husband Prince Frederik and their four children, the Danish royal touched down in Perth on Sunday morning as a pit stop on their way to her home town Hobart in Tasmania.
